Kairo lives inside Telegram. Connecting takes about 30 seconds — you sign in with Telegram once, and from then on you can talk to Kairo from any of your Telegram clients (phone, desktop, web).

Before you start

You need:
  • A Kairo account (sign up)
  • A Telegram account on the same phone or device you’ll use to chat with Kairo

Steps

Open the Channels page

From the Kairo dashboard, go to Channels in the sidebar. You’ll see a card for Telegram with a Connect button.

Authorize via Telegram

Click Connect. You’ll be redirected to Telegram’s OAuth screen at oauth.telegram.org. Sign in with the phone number on your Telegram account — Telegram will send a verification code to your existing Telegram session.

Approve access

Telegram will ask whether to grant Kairo permission to message you. Approve.

You're back in Kairo

You’ll be redirected back to Kairo. The Channels page now shows Telegram as Connected, and the Kairo bot will send you a welcome message.

Say hi

Open the chat with the Kairo bot in Telegram and send a message — try What can you do? or Add buy milk to my list.

How the connection works

Kairo uses Telegram’s official OAuth flow — you authorize once and Telegram tells Kairo your account ID. Kairo never sees your Telegram password or your existing chats. Messages you send to the Kairo bot are processed by Kairo. Other Telegram chats are not.

Troubleshooting

Make sure you started the flow from the same browser session you’re signed into Kairo with. If you’re using a third-party browser or aggressive tracker blockers, try Safari or Chrome with default settings.
Open Telegram and search for the Kairo bot, then send any message. Kairo identifies you by your Telegram account ID once you message the bot for the first time.
Channels → Telegram → Disconnect. Kairo stops responding immediately. Your account, todos, and reminders stay intact.
